FBR Launches Software for Monitoring Sales Tax Returns

The president of the Federal Revenue Board, Syed Muhammad Shabbar Zaidi, has opened a new software called Centralized Sales Tax & FED Assessment & Processing (CSTAP) to effectively monitor sales tax returns.

It was opened at the FBR headquarters and was developed by the FBR IR operations wing. The purpose of this software is to identify tax loopholes and determine the actual sales tax / EDF obligations of all taxpayers.

President FBR received a live demonstration of the request by Mrs. Seema Shakeel, IR Operations Member. This software will also be used to process claims for reimbursement.

The president was also informed that the first batch of 25 field training officers were asked to conduct a test to execute this project as of September 11, 2019. After a successful test run of this project, it will be available. for all field formations across the country.
